Day 1 - Arrive in Hanoi
You'll be picked up from the airport and dropped to the Maison D’Hanoi Boutique in the centre of Hanoi Old Quarter. You'll be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink.
Day 2 - Halong Bay Cruise
You'll be picked up from your hotel, with a quick stopover in Hai Duong Province before embarking on your short Lavender Cruise. Check into your cabin and enjoy a plentiful lunch, sampling stunning regional seafood while passing over Incense Burner Island, Fighting Cock Islet and Stone Dog. You'll stop at Halong Bay where you'll partake in a spot of kayaking through the magnificent landscape, set against the limestone mountains. Take to the waves for a refreshing dip and soak up the incredible views surrounding Hoa Cuong's floating fishing village. Come evening, you'll join a cooking class, crafting up some fresh spring rolls before taking to the boat again. Pass by Soi Sim Beach and “Rang Dua” Island before setting up camp near the Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave boasting well-lit walkways and coloured lights. Party while the sun goes down and tuck into a delicious Vietnamese meal as prepared for you. Go in for a spot of squid fishing or simply kick back and make the most of happy-hour drinks!
Day 3 - Halong Bay + Hanoi
Complete some invigorating morning exercised on the sun deck before tucking into coffee, tea and fresh pastries. Uncover the hidden treasures within the Surprise Cave, discovered by French explorers in 1901. Opened for tourists since 1936, now it is a must-to-see and a symbol for the geological value of Halong. Drive back to your hotel in Hanoi.
Day 4 - Night Train to Hoi An
After breakfast, explore Hanoi at your own pace before boarding the night train to Danang, Hoi An in the evening.
Day 5 - Arrive in Hoi An
You'll be picked up from Danang train station and transfered to the Kiman Hoi An Hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring Hoi An's ancient town at your own leisure, uncovering cultural treasures in every corner!
Day 6 - Hoi An
Option 1:Tra Que vegetable village is located 3km north of the Old Town of Hoi An. Thanks to the rich soil and unique source of underground water, the village has long been known for growing many kinds of vegetables such as basil, mint, lettuce, and coriander upon which prolific cultural dishes rely! Enjoy a scenic bike ride to a farmer's house and spend the day living, working and cooking with the local residents, learning how to utilise the land in the Vietnamese way. Cook a lunch of local specialities before heading back.
Option 2:Take a boat trip out on the Thu Bon River and enjoy a tour of the 'My Son Holy Lands', set against verdant valleys and imposing mountains. My Son was chosen as a religious centre, built in the late 4th century under the Cham’s King Bhadravaman. It is a huge religious complex with over 70 towers and temples of different architectures. Wander through the elaborate carvings and sculptures of the Cham people, discovering the beauty of the ancient buildings with your guide. After lunch, uncover local life at the Kim Bong Carpentry Village.
Day 7 - Hoi An
After breakfast, explore Hoi An's ancient town and surrounding countryside at your own leisure.
Day 8 - Fly to Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, check into the Ruby River Hotel or Cititel Central Saigon where you will spend the night.
Day 9 - Ho Chi Minh
Soak up the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your day trip departing for My Tho, the town that lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Boarding the hand-rowed sampan and cruising down the river, you'll pass the four beautiful islets known as the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, where you'll enjoy walking around country lanes and orchards, sampling tropical fruits as you visit a local plantation. Visit the fruit plantation. Return to the boat, travel down the Thoi Son canal and visit a nearby honey-bee farm where you'll be treated to a honey tea and coconut candy workshop. In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta.
Day 10 - Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi tunnel
Pick up from your hotel and travel to Cu Chi, known as the “area of steel” in the war time and considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. Uncovering this important historical site, you will tour the renowned network of underground tunnels, visiting the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms and other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals and command centres, helping whoever lived inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Afterwards, enjoy a special tea and cassava dish (guerilla’s food during the war).
Day 11 - Fly to Phu Quoc Island
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and board your flight to the Phu Quoc Island beach resort. Check into the Miana Resort or The Praha Hotel.
Day 12, 13 + 14: Phu Quoc Island
Spend the next three nights basking on the beautiful bays and soaking up the leisurely island life vibes as you enjoy a relaxing stay on Phu Quoc Island. On day 14, depart home.
