Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Shahpura Haveli
Your private driver in an air-conditioned car will pick you up from the airport and take you your hotel in Delhi. After lunch, meet your private tour guide and begin your half day sightseeing tour. Enjoy a visit to the Jama Mosque, where you'll explore the interior with your guide. Next, visit Raj Ghat the place where the father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi was cremated. Onward to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and excellent example of Afghan Architecture constructed with marble and red sandstone. And then stop at UNESCO World Heritage-listed Humayun’s Tomb. Next, visit India Gate, a memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers.
Day 2: Shahpura - Jaipur
Today after breakfast drive straight towards Jaipur.
Day 3: Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your private tour guide and start sightseeing Jaipur by visiting Amber Fort. Enjoy the experience of riding on the back of an elephant both to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Your guide will explain the rich history of Amber Fort, before you venture off to the City Palace in the heart of Jaipur, known best for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Enjoy the fine collection of textiles, costumes and armour on display. Next, visit Hawa Mahal, or "the Palace of Winds", constructed for royal women to watch royal processions without being seen. Finally, view the stargazing observatory of Jantar Mantar, built by the renowned astronomer, Maharaja Jai Singh.
Day 4: Jaipur - Fort Khejarla
Today after breakfast drive straight towards Khejarla. On arrival check in to the 400-year-old 4* Fort Khejarla where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Fort Khejarla - Jodhpur
Today after breakfast drive towards Jodhpur where you'll start your sightseeing tour by visiting Mehrangarh Fort. Built on a steep hill, the site is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows and residential apartments within. You'll also visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. After sightseeing, drive straight to Udaipur via Ranakpur. Ranakpur is known for its superbly carved marble Jain Temples. An enormous basement of this temple covers 48,000 sq. feet. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls. The total number of columns is 1,444, all of which are intricately carved, no two being alike. The Ranakpur Jain Temples were built during the 15th century. After visiting Ranakpur continue your drive towards Udaipur.
Day 6: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Today after breakfast drive straight towards Udaipur. Enjoy evening at leisure.
Day 7: Udaipur
Start your day in Udaipur, also known as the city of sunrise. You'll begin sightseeing with a visit to Sahelion-Ki-Bari. This Garden of the Maids of Honour is well laid out with extensive lawns and shady walks. Afterwards, trek to the Museum of Folk Art, boasting a rich collection of traditional dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments and paintings on display. After a break, proceed to City Palace, the biggest in India, where four generations of Maharajas added their contribution to the original buildings. The museum of the palace includes the beautiful peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian mythology. Visit the traditional painting school and see the famous miniature paintings created! In the evening, take a boat ride on the Lake Pichola, passing the famous Lake Palace of Udaipur, the summer residence of the former rulers. The James bond Film Octopussy was also shot here and made this palace more known in the West.
Day 8: Udaipur - Pushkar
Today after breakfast,you will be driven to Pushkar. On arrival check inn at the hotel. Once settled enjoy Pushkar sightseeing. Pushkar is a holy place, famous for its Cattle Fair held every November. Visit the old temples and ghats of the area!
Day 9: Pushkar - Ranthambore
Today after breakfast drive towards Ranthambore. After lunch at the hotel (at your own expenses), get ready for the afternoon safari experience where you can observe the rich flora and fauna of Ranthambore National Park.
Day 10: Ranthambore - Agra
Today after breakfast you will be driven to Agra.On arrival check inn at the hotel.Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.
Day 11: Agra - Delhi Drop
After breakfast, you'll meet your private tour guide. Start your sightseeing with a visit to the fascinating Taj Mahal, India's iconic symbol of love. You'll be shown around the romantic monument, taking time to admire one of the most majestic and beautiful buildings in the world. Next, visit Agra Fort, one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, it stands as a sprawling, massive red sandstone fort on the bank of Yamuna River. Your guide will explain the unique history of the site, before you journey onward to the Itmad-ud-Daulah, a tomb and mausoleum overlooking the river. Admire the very first tomb in India that was made entirely out of marble. Next, visit Mehtab Bagh, a series of 11 parks on the Yamuna's east bank. After Agra sightseeing you will be driven to Delhi, where you will be dropped at your hotel/airport for departure.
