Running along a mile of track from Elsecar station in the west to Tingle Bridge Lane at Hemmingfield in the east, there's no better way to get a taste of Yorkshire's railway heritage and enjoy a feel of rail travel from days gone by than boarding the Elsecar Heritage Railway! Now run by a group of volunteers committed to the preservation, restoration and expansion of the preserved railway in South Yorkshire, the railway line reopened in 1966 as a heritage line. It's a fantastic blast from the past for all the family, so just pick your date from the selection below and get going!
