What a great find! Our room, no. 19, on the ground floor was enormous, with twin double beds, ensuite, and a welcome terrace to enjoy our late evening glasses of wine. Our puppy, Bonnie, aged 6 months, slept peacefully for 12 hours each night, in her cage, in an alcove. She was also allowed to join us in the vast, but cosy, dining area. All the tables had adequate spacing, so that each of the dogs could socialise without too much drama… We dined each evening at the hotel, enjoying working our way through the ample and delicious menu choice.

Gorgeous hotel, superb location, food top notch, great fun board game event and so welcoming to dogs! …The hotel is beautiful and set in amazing countryside. We took a little break from the gaming to check out the grounds and they were stunning, especially as we stayed in autumn so the leaves were glorious. There is a little train track with a walkway under it which is cool! We loved our room, it had a 4 poster bed, bit of a rickity thing but it's an old 4 poster, it's par for the course! It felt very special. All the things we needed were provided, lots of tea and coffee, shower gel etc, towels. All good. We had evening meals and breakfast included in our package and WOW top marks to the chef! Food was stunning. Best scrambled eggs we've had in a long time! The hotel is advertised as dog friendly and it was lovely to see lots of doggies in the hotel and not being given dirty looks by other guests or owners. They were all welcome and treated with care and thought. Dog owners - if you're looking for a hotel in the area, this is for you!

Great for a weekend break. Love staying in this relaxed Country House Hotel in a pretty valley easily found just off the A377. Rooms are big and airy and the staff are soooo friendly and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better the kitchen upped the game with a new menu. Beyond delicious! We’ll be back!
