very good driver excellent
Krakow is a beautiful place, Well worth visiting. We did go on the Auschwitz tour unfortunately the weather changed and we had torrential for the whole trip. It was still a very moving and thought provoking place. The rain probably added a sense of what it was like for the unfortunate people who got sent there. The Ryanair flights went well except for a delay that caused us to missed our transport.
Great time in the city! Lost souls alley is an independent activity we did and you MUST go! Scary but I’m so glad we went. The hotel was nice inside however didn’t look the most appealing from the outside. We were located 3.5km outside of the city centre but scooters and Ubers made it easy to access. Note that when riding a scooter, avoid riding over zebra crossings without the bike part as you get fined! Ha, what an experience. Overall, I rate this holiday a 4/5 as it was nice but the tour itself felt rushed with a guide and I think next time, I’d book everything myself, knowing what I’m getting myself into. Great for the price, however a few unexpected extra charges for certain things like the printed tickets for the tour and to change the flights as I had not yet confirmed but was asked to pay on the phone etc, kept in contact and reminded me of checking in. Wizzair, great, easy flight. The return flight however, was overbooked and there was discussion of evacuating and flying the next morning, heart attack moment. Good for the price, however, I think I’d independently book next time.
We enjoyed going to the old town in krakow and Auschwitz was an eye opener, our guide told us more about Auschwitz then you can imagine.4days in krakow was enough to see and enjoy everything around. My daughter and I will be visiting again one day.We got to see the Corpus Christi festival as well.
Powerful place to visit for the wrong reasons. A must to see.
Had a fantastic time , had a bit of trouble with verification with Ryanair but all went well , and had special assistance waiting at both airports. We also had phone call reminders to check in.
Really worth going, but the reasonable price ended up not being so reasonable once we managed to get the flights that we wanted. Krakow is a lovely, clean city and the trip to Auschwitz Birkenau was both emotional and interesting - the guide was very knowledable and spoke excellent English!
Good place with interesting flavors
Excellent service the finest hotel
Hotel worth recommending
Krakow is a beautiful city and a vibrant one. The flight with Wizz air was fine each way and on time. The aparthotel was great in amenities and location. I would have assumed that the package booked will have included the transfers to and from the airport/accomodation. I discovered on arrival at krk that it was not. And so had to pay taxi fayres. I was taking advantage of the Wowcher £89 pp deal. Sadly to get a flight to and from the same airport, and the right choice of room (ie twin room not double) all came at additional costs totalling £378 excluding the additional cost of seats on the plane discovered at online check in. £21 each. Each way. And excluding the taxi fayres £27 each way. My short trip to Krakow including Auchwitz tour for myself and my daughter now costing £516 instead of the teased advertised cost of £178. I will certainly go to Poland again but sadly will not be using Wowcher or travel deal. I will build my trip myself.
The flight was ok but had to pay to take a small case onboard, (Ryanair….rip off!). The original tour operator cancelled the Auschwitz tour late the day before we were due to go, so had to pay another tour operator we found, 700 Polish Zloty or we wouldn’t have been able to go & we went to Poland for that specific tour. The apartment reception was impossible to access/find, (Aparthotel). Luckily, we bumped in to some people that were staying there and they helped us, (didn’t speak English), or we would never had found/accessed reception. The flight back, I was charged again for my small case, (40x20x55cm). All in all cost £94 for both flights for that case. Will not be doing this again and will never use Ryanair in the future. I used to travel to Ireland with my case and never had to pay for “Priority”-rip off! Krakow however was beautiful. Will be going again, but not via Wowcher!
We had a really great time whilst out there, however we did run into a few issues which wasn’t wowchers fault however the supplier that we got allocated with. The first issue when booking flight with the company we got told that we would have to fly out really late which would waste 1 of our days or pay extra to upgrade to a morning flight which cost us £80 more. During this phone call half way through she told us we had to upgrade regardless as there was no tickets on the included flight which wasn’t ideal as the whole reason we booked on Wowcher was because we was on a really tight budget and this trip was for mental health reasons. After paying extra for the flights we then got a call from the company which we got assigned with and told us we had to check in to our flight asap which was around 4 days before the trip which then made me have to spend even more on the flights as we got told we had to check in. So now the “flights included” Didn’t really become a benefit. Later to realise after getting a call on the way back when they tried the same thing is we could wait until 24 hours before and get allocated seat within the price already paid. Quite honestly I was very disappointed in this as I felt I had been scammed into spending a lot more money than originally singed up to. We then got put on a really early flight on the way home which wasted another one of our days which meant we only really got 3 days out there which wasn’t ideal. The hotel was also really out the way of the city which was a bit miss leading however not the main issue as it was a lovely hotel, but when there is multiple negatives it does make the small things a lot worse. Overall the trip was amazing and we did have a lovely time but I wouldn’t be in a rush to book through Wowcher again just because of the hidden fees and the fact that one of our days were spent back in England.
Flight times weren’t great, so had to pay extra for better times. Was told this was old include a hotel upgrade but on arrival at accommodation it was definitely a downgrade. Very basic apartment, but it was a good location and clean. The tour would have been better with a guide, but the driver was very informative nevertheless. It felt a bit rushed. Don’t rate Ryanair as an airline, seats and luggage expensive. We enjoyed our visit, and we organised a free walking tour online. We enjoyed spending some time in the hotel bar as it was relaxing and drinks were cheap and good food.
Difficult to speak to someone when you have a query Flights are not the best so had to pay extra otherwise young girls arriving in the middle of the night in a place they won’t know So not really suitable
