We’d also recommend you head on over to nearby Carlisle and check out Carlisle Cathedral, an amazing feat of architecture and spiritual spot with some amazing stained-glass artwork. Or check out Knoxwood Wildlife Rescue Centre in Wigton to meet some gorgeous little creatures including tortoise, ferrets, owls and goats.

<b>Definitely worth a visit.-</b> What a gem of a place. Couldn’t fault it. Warm and friendly staff . Exceptionally clean room, comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Great food, extensive menu. Friday steak night is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Will definitely revisit.

<b>Last min room at the inn!</b> Last minute on Christmas eve as our camper van broke down Helen was so accomodating stating they were closed but nevertheless gave us a room only Spotlessly clean very comfortable room in beautiful area Helen was very friendly a lovely person and we would definatly recommend this hotel to all.

<b>A gem!</b> The hotel is situated in a gloriously peaceful location, yet just a 10/15 minute drive from various areas of interest. The hotel itself, although maybe a little dated in terms of decor, was immaculately clean and well presented. A lovely warm and inviting bar area, with incredibly reasonable prices for the drinks.
